Hanmi Bank Fully Digitizes Business Checking Account Opening

Hanmi Bank has fully digitized its business checking account opening service.

With this enhancement, Hanmi now offers business customers the ability to open most deposit accounts through a digital process.

Hanmi is the first Korean American bank to introduce a digital business checking account opening service.

The most notable feature of the online business checking account opening service is the significant reduction in complex procedures traditionally required during account opening, such as document submission, review, and signing.

Opening a business account can often take hours or even days to complete.  Traditionally, customers would be required to provide multiple documents and signatures in order to verify a business.

Hanmi’s new online account opening service has streamlined this process by reducing, or at times completely eliminating the need for supporting documents Plus, customer signatures are now 100% electronic.  Now businesses can open a checking account in less than 15 min at their nearest branch or in the comforts of their office. 

This service can be accessed either through a relevant link on the bank’s website or by visiting a branch and receiving assistance from a banker.

Through continuous system implementation and upgrades, as well as service expansion and enhancement, Hanmi is strengthening its position as a leading digital banking institution.

In addition to online account opening, business customers can also access a wide range of digital services, including Business Zelle, online domestic wire transfers, and enhanced security features such as the Hanmi Authenticator, which uses biometric authentication on mobile devices.
