Hanmi Bank's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, Hanmi Neighbor Volunteer Service Program (Hanmi Neighbor VSP), is a first-of-its-kind volunteer program in the Korean-American banking industry that is driven by individual employee participation rather than corporate organized events.
Hanmi Neighbor allows employees to take paid time-off from work (i.e., volunteering during business hours) for up to a maximum of 16 hours per year when volunteering at approved non-profit organizations. These paid volunteer service hours are available for all associates and can be used any time throughout the year, in any increments.
Our Core Value
Hanmi Neighbor is founded upon our associates’ concerns and beliefs about volunteerism. When developing the program, we conducted a survey that revealed our associates' interests in helping organizations focused on Youth, Education, Health, Senior and Community Development. Hanmi Neighbor will avoid volunteer efforts that are directly linked to religious and/or political causes.
Volunteering: A Rewarding Experience
Upon completion of 16 "Neighbor Hours" per year, Hanmi Bank will offer either a monetary donation or a goods/service donation to the non-profit organization of their choice- namely, the annual Good Neighbor Award. It is our way of showing our thanks and appreciation for being dedicated employees and responsible citizens.
