Hanmi Bank Opens New Branch in Duluth, Georgia

Hanmi Bank opened a new branch in Duluth, GA on March 3, 2025. The Duluth branch is Hanmi’s first full-service branch in Georgia.

Hanmi plans to establish itself as being the financial partner that grows with its customers, through the relationship banking model. Georgia is a rapidly growing market, which includes not only the Korean community but also the overall population and business activity.

CEO Bonnie Lee said, “The Southeast region centered around Georgia is an important market due to the expansion of Korean companies and the development of the Korean community. We will showcase the know-how Hanmi has accumulated over the past 42 years with excellent products and services.”

Georgia plays a central role in the investment and expansion of Korean companies. According to the Georgia state government, Korean companies invested more than $10 billion* across Georgia in the 2023 fiscal year alone, and the total trade volume between Georgia and Korea reached $17.5 billion** last year.

The branch opening is expected to create favorable conditions for synergy, with the rich experience and capabilities Hanmi has accumulated through its ‘Korea Desk,’ specializing in customized financial services for Korean companies. Hanmi Bank recently opened a representative office in Seoul.

Jay Yoon, Area Banking Manager(on the left of the picture), in charge of the Georgia and Texas regions, said, “Korean companies continue to expand, especially in industries such as automobiles and batteries, and the Korean community is also growing overall. To celebrate the branch opening, we are running promotions on various products such as checking accounts, and safe deposit boxes.”
