You may have heard there was a data breach on credit and debit cards used at Target stores between November 27 and December 15, 2013.  According to information published by Target, the data breach did not impact online purchases.*

The security of your information, including your Hanmi debit card is our top priority.  Hanmi Bank recommends you take the following precautionary measures to protect your account information:

  1. Review your account activity online at www.hanmi.com or Hanmi Smartphone Banking for possible unauthorized transactions and immediately report any such occurrences to us at your nearest Hanmi Bank branch.
  1. Be on the lookout for potential identity theft by reviewing your credit report.  Under federal law, you are entitled to a free copy of your credit report every 12 months from each of the three nationwide credit reporting agencies.  You may obtain a free copy of your credit report by going to www.annualcreditreport.com or by calling (877) 322-8228.  You may contact the nationwide credit reporting agencies at:

  1. Add a fraud alert to your credit report file to help protect your credit information.  You may place a fraud alert by calling just one of the three nationwide credit reporting agencies listed above.
